Summer in Arizona is hot but there are plenty of ways to cool off including stepping into an air-conditioned museum. On a recent getaway, after splashing poolside we ventured to the Phoenix Art Museum for a much needed art break.
Larry Bell: Improvisations was the draw for us at the Phoenix Art Museum. Larry Bell is an influential contemporary artist and sculptor of the Light and Space Movement and the exhibit showcases his colorful glass sculptures and collage pieces. The short video Larry Bell: Glass takes you inside his Taos, NM studio where he talks about his fascinating process of using a room-sized vacuum tank to create his striking collages.
Exhibition runs through January 5, 2025.
